Team Introduction

Burton Albion Football Club, commonly known as "Burton", was founded on November 30, 1949, and is a professional football club located in England.

The area is known for its beer brewing, and the team is thus nicknamed the "Brewers". For many years, they participated in amateur leagues until they won the Football Conference National League title in the 2008/09 season, which marked their first promotion to the professional League Two. In the 2014/15 season, the team won the League Two title and was promoted to League One; the following year, they finished as runners-up in League One, achieving their first-ever promotion to the EFL Championship. After the 2017/18 season, Burton Albion finished 23rd in the Championship and were relegated back to League One.

In addition to the performance on the field, the club's mascot "Billy Brewer" is also quite popular, having won the championship at the first "Mascot Olympics" in 2004.
