Team Introduction

A.F.C. Bournemouth, commonly known as "Bournemouth", is a professional football club based in Bournemouth, Dorset, England, nicknamed "The Cherries". It was founded in 1899 under the name "Boscombe".

Joined the Southern League Division Three in 1923, won the Southern League Division Three Cup in 1946. In the FA Cup, they defeated Manchester United and won the inaugural Associate Members' Cup, and were promoted to Division Two for the first time in 1987.

In the 2003 playoff promotion, James Hayter set the record for the fastest hat-trick in the league (2 minutes and 21 seconds). After the financial crisis in 2008, Eddie Howe completed a "three consecutive promotions" during his coaching period, leading the team to the Premier League for the first time in 2015.

In the 2015-20 season, the team competed continuously in the Premier League, finishing 9th in 2017. They were relegated in 2020 but returned to the Premier League as runners-up in 2022, the same year they were acquired by an American consortium. In the 2024-25 season, they achieved the best performance in the club's Premier League history, accumulating 56 points and finishing 9th, breaking multiple records for wins and goals.
