Team Introduction

Al Taawoun Football Club, abbreviated as "Al Taawoun", was established in 1956 and is a professional multi-sport club located in Buraidah, Saudi Arabia.

The club was founded by Saleh Al Wabili and was initially named "Youth Party". It was officially registered as a professional club in 1960, four years after its establishment. They have been competing in the Saudi Professional League since the 2010-2011 season. On May 29, 2016, the team finished fourth in the league that season, qualifying for the AFC Champions League for the first time.

In the 2018-2019 season, the club secured qualification for the AFC Champions League by finishing third in the Saudi Professional League. In the final match of the season, Al-Braidah defeated Al-Hilal 5-0 in the semifinals to reach the King’s Cup final, where they won 2-1 against Al-Ittihad, claiming the first top-flight league trophy in the club's history. Al-Braidah also became the first club from the Qassim region to win the King’s Cup.
