Team Introduction

Fredrikstad Football Club (abbreviated as "Fredrikstad", English name: Fredrikstad FK) was founded on February 10, 1907, and is a football club located in Drammen, Norway.

The club experienced its first golden era in the 1930s, winning the Norwegian Cup for the first time in 1932, followed by back-to-back league titles from 1937 to 1939, achieving the double. After the war, the team continued to dominate Norwegian football, especially in the 1950s and 1960s, winning the league championship six times, including becoming double champions again in the 1956-1957 season. In 1960, they became the first Norwegian team to participate in the European Cup, famously defeating Ajax 4-3 at home, creating a historic moment for Norwegian football.

Fredrikstad is known for its creative attacking style of football, praised by Norwegian legend Jørgen Juve as "the way football should be." The team's home ground has changed several times, from the old stadium in 1914 to the modern stadium built on the site of the old shipyard in 2007, remaining an important landmark in Norwegian football. Although it experienced a downturn in the late 20th century, the team made a resurgence in the 21st century, lifting the Norwegian Cup again in 2006, continuing the glorious tradition of this century-old club.
