ADO Den Haag, abbreviated as "Den Haag", was founded in 1905 and is located in The Hague, Netherlands. It is a Dutch professional football club.
In 1912, Den Haag was promoted to the Dutch National Football League, and in the same year, they were promoted to the third division, winning the championship at that level two years later. In 1926, the club was promoted to the highest national league, Eerste Klasse. In 1941, Den Haag finally won the division championship and advanced to the national championship, but lost to Heracles.
ADO Den Haag competed in the Eredivisie for four seasons before being relegated again in the 2006-07 season. However, after finishing sixth in the 2007-08 season, they won the playoffs, which meant they could return to the Eredivisie in the 2008-09 season.
