Halmstads Bollklubb, commonly known as "Halmstad", was founded on March 6, 1914, and is a Swedish football club based in Halmstad.
The team has won the Swedish top league championship four times, with the most recent victory in 2000. In 1995, they created a European miracle by defeating the Italian powerhouse Parma 3-0 in the first leg of the European Cup Winners' Cup. Although they were ultimately eliminated, this victory is still fondly remembered by fans. As a cradle of Swedish football youth training, Halmstad has produced several national team players, including Henrik Larsson, and lifted the Swedish Cup trophy in 1995. This small-town team has proven that ambition is far more important than the size of the city in Swedish football.
