Team Introduction

Stade de Reims, abbreviated as "Reims", was established in 1931 and is a professional football club located in Reims, France. In the 1950s and 1960s, Reims was a very prominent team in French football, having reached the finals of the European Champions Cup twice during this period, making it one of the most successful clubs in the history of French football.

The club's most glorious chapter was in the 1950s and 1960s, when it was a powerhouse in France and even Europe, having won the Ligue 1 championship 6 times and reached the finals of the European Champions Cup (the predecessor of the UEFA Champions League) twice, ultimately losing to Real Madrid. This legendary experience remains a source of pride for French football. The representative figures of that golden era were the legendary striker Just Fontaine and the "Napoleon of the pitch" Raymond Kopa.

After a long period of ups and downs, Reims has stabilized in the middle of Ligue 1 in recent years, attracting fans with its focus on developing young players and its attacking style. They once had one of the youngest coaches in European football, Will Still (who has since left). In the 2024-25 season, they finished as runners-up in the Coupe de France after losing to Paris Saint-Germain, and subsequently lost in the Ligue 1 relegation playoff, unfortunately dropping down to Ligue 2.
