Molde Football Club (abbreviated as "Molde", English name: Molde FK) was founded on June 19, 1911, and is a football club located in Molde, Norway.
The club was originally named "International" and changed to its current name in 1915. It faced relegation in 2007, and the club's most glorious moment came in 2011 when the team, coached by legendary player Ole Gunnar Solskjær, won the Eliteserien title for the first time. The "Baby-faced Assassin", who scored 31 goals in a single season for Molde, led his hometown team to make history. The team has finished as runners-up in the league more than five times and lifted the Norwegian Cup twice, in 1994 and 2005.
In European competitions, Molde has participated in various European tournaments since their first appearance in the Champions League in 1999. They successfully qualified for the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League in the 2024/25 season. Although not large in scale, Molde has maintained an important position in Norwegian football thanks to a strong fan base (including notable supporters like former Norwegian Prime Minister Bondevik) and stable investments.
