The Morocco Olympic Football Team (abbreviated as 'Morocco U23', English name: Morocco U23) represents Morocco in international football competitions at the Olympics, and is governed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
The team made its debut at the 1964 Tokyo Summer Olympics, where they were eliminated after losing 0-6 to Hungary and 1-3 to Yugoslavia, following the withdrawal of North Korea from their group. At the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics, they advanced to the second round as the second in their group, drawing with the USA, winning 6-0 against Malaysia, and losing 0-3 to West Germany. However, they lost all their matches in the second round against Denmark, Poland, and the Soviet Union, which remains the team's best performance in the Olympics before 2024.
In the 2011 Africa U-23 Championship, as the host nation, they defeated Egypt 3-2 in the semifinals, securing qualification for the 2012 London Olympics, ending a long absence from the Olympics, and ultimately finished as runners-up. In the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, they participated as the host country, defeating Egypt 2-1 in the final to win their first continental championship, receiving congratulations from King Mohammed VI.
In 2024, Tarik Sektioui was appointed as head coach, leading the team to advance from the group stage as group winners, setting a record for the first knockout stage appearance since 1972. In the quarter-finals, they achieved a 4-0 victory over the USA, reaching the semi-finals for the first time, but lost 1-2 to Spain in the semi-finals. In the bronze medal match, they won 6-0 against Egypt, earning an Olympic bronze medal, marking the team's best Olympic performance in history.
