It competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) starting in 2020, as a continuation of the former USL club, and plays its home games at Geodis Park. The club is primarily owned by John Ingram, owner of Ingram Industries, along with investors and partial owners from the Turner family of Dollar General Stores.
