Red Bull Salzburg Football Club (abbreviated as "Salzburg Red Bull", in English Fußballclub Red Bull Salzburg) was founded on September 13, 1933, disbanded in 1950, and re-established the same year. It is a professional football club located in Wals-Siezenheim, Austria, originally named "Austria Salzburg Football Club", formed by the merger of the city's Hertha Football Club and Rapid Football Club. The club's home ground is the Red Bull Arena.
In the 1970-71 season, the club first won the Austrian top league runner-up, and in 1978 it was renamed "SV Casino Salzburg". In 1994, it reached the finals of a European competition for the first time, finishing third. The Red Bull era officially began in May 2006, and in both the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, the club reached the finals of the UEFA Champions League and the cup competition.
As of June 25, 2025, Red Bull Salzburg has dominated Austrian football, winning 14 league titles in the last 17 seasons, including a record ten consecutive titles from 2014 to 2023.
