Stevenage Football Club (abbreviated as "Stevenage", English name: Stevenage F.C.) was founded in 1976 and is a professional football club located in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England.
The club's predecessor was a team of the same name established in 1894, and in 2010, the word "Borough" was officially removed from the name. The club has been active in lower league competitions and has had multiple opportunities for promotion. After winning the Conference National title in the 2009/10 season, they were promoted to League Two, and the following year they successfully moved up to League One through the playoffs, but were relegated back to League Two in the 2013/14 season. In the 2022/23 season, they were promoted back to League One as runners-up in League Two.
Stevenage has also had impressive performances in cup competitions, having won the FA Trophy twice, and in 2007 became the first team to win a competitive final at the new Wembley Stadium. The club has a rich history of honors, including multiple titles in the National League, FA Trophy, and various league championships.
