Port Vale Football Club (commonly known as "Port Vale", and in English: Port Vale F.C.) was founded in 1876 and is a professional football club located in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.
The club name "Port Vale" is not derived from its location; its original name "Burslem Port Vale" included the name of Burslem. Although the nearby Stoke City is more prominent in terms of fan base and achievements, Port Vale has reached the second tier of the league several times in the 1990s.
The club's famous fan includes singer Robbie Williams, who purchased a significant stake in the club in 2006 to show his support. Vale Park has been the home ground of Port Vale since 1950, and it is situated at a high elevation, with a capacity of approximately 19,000 spectators.
The club has experienced multiple promotions and relegations throughout its history, and in the 2021/22 season, it was promoted to League One through the League Two playoffs. In terms of honors, Port Vale has won the English Football League Trophy twice and has claimed several lower league titles.
