Willem II Tilburg Football Club (abbreviated as "Willem II", in English: Willem II) was founded in 1896 and is located in Tilburg, Netherlands. It is a Dutch professional football club. At the end of the 2010-11 season, Willem II Tilburg Football Club was relegated from the Eredivisie for the first time in 24 years. In the 2011-12 season, under the leadership of new head coach Jurgen Streppel, they returned to the Eredivisie, but in the following season, the team finished at the bottom of the table and was relegated again. The club won the Eredivisie championship in the following season, thus returning to the Eredivisie.
In 2019, Willem II reached the final of the KNVB Cup for the fourth time in its history. They defeated AZ Alkmaar in the semifinals through a penalty shootout, but suffered a heavy defeat against Ajax in the final.
