Houston Dynamo Football Club, abbreviated as "Dynamo", was established on December 15, 2005, and is a professional soccer club based in Houston, Texas, USA.
The team was originally the San Jose Earthquakes, and after relocating, briefly used the name "Houston 1836" before ultimately being named "Dynamo" inspired by the local energy industry. They won the MLS Cup consecutively in 2006 and 2007, and also won the U.S. Open Cup in 2018 and 2023.
After the league realignment in 2011, the team was placed in the Eastern Conference. In the 2025 season, the team hovered around the middle of the standings in the Western Conference, engaging in fierce battles with rivals such as Los Angeles FC and Colorado Rapids.
