Juventus Football Club (abbreviated as "Juventus", English name: Juventus F.C.) was founded in 1897 by a group of students in Turin. It is a professional football club in Italy, located in Turin, Piedmont, and is the local rival of Torino. Juventus is one of the traditional clubs in the Italian football league, nicknamed "The Zebra" and "The Old Lady."
Juventus won its first Italian league championship in 1905. In 1923, the Agnelli family took over, initiating professional reforms and making it the first club in Italy to have a nationwide fan base. In the 1930s, it achieved a five consecutive championships dynasty, providing the core squad for Italy's first World Cup victory in 1934. In the 1950s and 60s, the "Magical Trio" (Sivori, Charles, Boniperti) dominated the domestic scene, and in 1960, they achieved a double crown in the league and cup. In the 1970s, under coach Trapattoni, they won the UEFA Cup for the first time in 1977, becoming the first Southern European team to conquer European competitions. From 1983 to 1985, Platini won three consecutive Ballon d'Or awards, helping the team become the first club to win the Champions League, the European Cup Winners' Cup, and the UEFA Cup. In 1985, they won the Intercontinental Cup, achieving a unique record of winning all five major tournaments. After Lippi took over in 1994, with Zidane and Del Piero as the core, they reached the Champions League summit in 1996, won two consecutive Serie A titles in 1997-1998, and built the "Juventus Dynasty." In 2006, the "Calciopoli" scandal broke out, leading to the revocation of the Serie A titles for the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons and relegation to Serie B, but core players like Buffon and Del Piero remained, and the following year they returned to Serie A as Serie B champions. In 2011, under Conte's management, they won the title in the 2011-12 season with an unbeaten record, and later in the Allegri era, they achieved nine consecutive Serie A titles (2011-2020), reaching the Champions League finals twice (2015, 2017). The nine-year streak ended in 2021, and in recent years, they faced point deductions due to financial issues, finishing the 2023-24 season only with the Coppa Italia title, leading to Allegri's departure after his second tenure.
