FC Alverca, founded on September 1, 1939, is a football club based in Portugal. The club competed in lower leagues for many years until its first promotion to the Portuguese Primeira Liga in 1998. In the following five seasons, they qualified for the top league four times. During this period, Alverca often operated as a satellite club of Benfica, but was relegated again in 2004. Due to financial difficulties, the club was dissolved in 2005.

In October 2019, the team unexpectedly defeated Lisbon in the third round of the Portuguese Cup with a score of 2-0, becoming the second third-tier team in history to achieve this. In February 2025, Vinícius Júnior of Real Madrid and his partners acquired 70% to 80% of the club's shares for approximately €8 to €10 million, becoming joint owners. In May of the same year, Alverca successfully advanced to the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
