Annecy FC (Annecy), founded in 1927, is a professional football club based in Annecy, Haute-Savoie, France.
Throughout its history, the club has experienced ups and downs, initially active in regional amateur leagues, with brief periods of professionalization in the 1940s and 1980s. In 1993, the original club dissolved, and it was reorganized under its current name, starting from lower leagues.
In recent years, the club has steadily improved its performance, achieving promotion in 2015, 2016, and 2020, and successfully reaching Ligue 2 in 2022. In the 2022-23 season, Annecy performed well in the Coupe de France, reaching the semi-finals. In August 2023, the club was initially relegated to Ligue 3, but retained its Ligue 2 status due to the penalty imposed on Sochaux.
