Team Introduction

The Brazil national football team (abbreviated as "Brazil", English name: Brazil national football team) was established in 1914 and is managed by the Brazilian Football Confederation as a national-level football team.

The establishment of the Brazilian Football Confederation in 1914 marked the establishment of the modern football system. Winning the first South American Championship (now Copa América) in 1919 was a milestone, and successfully defending the title in 1922 showcased early dominance. After 27 years of development, winning the Copa América for the third time in 1949 laid the foundation for hosting the 1950 World Cup.

From 1994 to 2002, Brazil reached the World Cup final three times in a row, winning two titles and finishing as runners-up once. In 2004 and 2007, Brazil achieved back-to-back Copa América titles. In 2014, Brazil hosted the World Cup again but lost 1-7 to Germany in the semifinals, finishing in fourth place. In 2018 and 2022, Brazil was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the World Cup for two consecutive editions.
