Team Introduction

Bolton Wanderers F.C., commonly known as Bolton, was founded in 1874 and is a professional football club based in England.

From the 1990s to the early 2000s, the team frequently moved between the Premier League and the Football League Championship, qualifying for the UEFA Cup in 2005 and 2007. After being relegated from the Premier League in 2012, Bolton faced a severe financial crisis, was taken over in 2019, and was at risk of dissolution, but ultimately continued after being taken over by new owners.

Relegated to League One in 2016, returned to the Championship the following year; relegated to League One again in 2019, and then to League Two in 2020; returned to League One as the third place in League Two in 2021, and finished fifth in League One in the 2022-23 season, participating in the promotion playoffs.

Bolton Wanderers has reached the FA Cup and League Cup finals multiple times throughout its long history and has long held a place in the top tier of English football, making it a club with tradition and influence in the history of English football.
