FCSB (commonly known as Bucharest Star), established on June 7, 1947, is a professional football club located in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
The club holds the domestic record for over 25 league titles and more than 20 cup titles, making it the most successful football club in Romania. In 1986, they made history in Eastern European football by becoming the first Eastern European team to lift the Champions League trophy, and they also won the European Super Cup that same year. Although they changed their name to FCSB in 2017 due to legal disputes, fans still commonly refer to them as Bucharest Star. They won both the league and the Super Cup for two consecutive seasons from 2023 to 2025. As a flagbearer of Romanian football, FCSB's impressive performances on the European stage have always been a source of pride for the national football scene.
