Kawasaki Frontale Football Club (abbreviated as "Kawasaki Frontale", English name: Kawasaki Frontale) was established in 1955 and is located in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
Kawasaki Frontale's predecessor was the Fujitsu Football Club. The team is named "Frontale" in Italian, meaning forward, and its home ground is the Todoroki Athletics Stadium. After years of wandering between J1 and J2, the team gradually emerged after returning to the top league in 2005. Under the leadership of coach Toru Oniki, Kawasaki Frontale entered a golden period, winning their first J1 League championship in 2017 and then winning the championship again in 2020 with a record 92 points, claiming the league title three times in four years.
In 2020, the team also won the Emperor's Cup for the first time, achieving a domestic treble. With their fluid attacking football and consistent performances, Kawasaki Frontale has become one of the most dominant teams in Japanese football, and new stars like Kaoru Mitoma, developed through their youth training system, are making their mark on the international stage.
