Team Introduction

Derby County Football Club (commonly referred to as "Derby County"; in English: Derby County F.C.) was founded in 1884 and is a professional football club based in Derby, Derbyshire, England.

The team experienced a glorious period in the 1970s, winning the top-tier league title (English First Division) twice in 1972 and 1975, and reaching the semifinals of the European Cup in 1973.

Since being relegated to League Two in 1980, Derby County has experienced many ups and downs across various levels of league football. The team was promoted to the Premier League for the first time in 1996, competing in the top flight for six seasons until their relegation in 2002. In 2007, Derby County was promoted back to the Premier League via the playoffs, but that season they only accumulated 11 points, setting the record for the lowest points in Premier League history, and were relegated back to the Championship a year later. In 2022, the team was relegated to League One again, but returned to the Championship in 2024 as the runners-up of League One.
