Feyenoord Football Club (abbreviated as "Feyenoord", in English: Feyenoord) was founded on July 19, 1908, and is a football club located in Rotterdam, the second largest city in the Netherlands.
The club has never been relegated since being promoted to the Eredivisie in 1921, and is considered one of the three major clubs in Dutch football alongside Ajax and PSV Eindhoven. As the first Dutch club to win the European Cup, Feyenoord has achieved remarkable success in European competitions, including winning the UEFA Cup in 1974 and the UEFA Cup again in 2002.
In 2010, the team suffered a humiliating 0-10 defeat to PSV Eindhoven, setting the worst record in the club's history. However, the 2022-23 season saw them reclaim the Eredivisie title, marking a revival and continuing the glorious tradition of this century-old club. From the Cruyff era to the Van Persie period, Feyenoord has always been an important symbol of Dutch football, nurturing numerous world-class stars and writing its own football legend in the working-class city of Rotterdam.
