Copenhagen Football Club (abbreviated as "Copenhagen", English name: FC Copenhagen) was established on July 1, 1992, and is a professional football club located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The club was formed by the merger of the century-old KB team and B1903 team, and is now one of the most representative teams in Danish football. This capital team won the Danish Superliga championship in its inaugural season, marking the beginning of a glorious journey. To date, it has won the league championship more than 10 times, holding the record for the most championships in Danish football.
In European competitions, Copenhagen has repeatedly made history for Danish football. They first reached the UEFA Champions League group stage in 2006 and became the first Danish team to advance to the knockout stage in 2011. In the 2024 UEFA Champions League group stage, they outperformed Manchester United to qualify, but were defeated by Manchester City in the Round of 16. The team also reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League in the 2019-20 season, achieving one of the best records for Danish clubs in European competitions. In the 2025 UEFA Europa Conference League, they faced off against top clubs like Chelsea.
In recent years, the team has continued to bring in new signings, including forward Youssoufa Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund and young defender Axel Disasi on loan from Paris Saint-Germain. As a flagbearer of Danish football, Copenhagen has maintained its domestic dominance and international competitiveness, winning the Danish Cup final 3-0 against Silkeborg in 2025 to claim the title again, continuing to write the legendary chapter of Nordic football.
