De Graafschap Football Club (abbreviated as "De Graafschap"), founded in 1954, is a professional football club located in Doetinchem, Gelderland, Netherlands.
In the 1990-91 season, under the leadership of Simon Kistemaker, De Graafschap won the Eredivisie championship with an unbeaten record. However, they only lasted one season in the Eredivisie, as they were immediately relegated the following year. From 1995 to 2003, De Graafschap had the longest continuous stint in the Eredivisie. In 1997, under the guidance of Fritz Korbach, the club achieved its highest league ranking in history, finishing eighth. However, the club's performance began to decline. In 2003, under Peter Bosz, De Graafschap was relegated back to the Eerste Divisie after eight years in the Eredivisie.
Despite experiencing multiple relegations, including finishing 17th in 2005, 2009, 2012, 2016, and 2019 and participating in relegation playoffs, De Graafschap has managed to avoid finishing at the bottom of the Eredivisie since 2003.
