Al Gharafa Sports Club, abbreviated as "Gharafa", was established in 1966 and is a professional football club located in the Gharafa district of Al Rayyan, Qatar.
Its predecessor was established with the participation of the Ittihad Club from Saudi Arabia, initially founded in June of that year and officially debuted in September. In 2004, the club was renamed to its current name to better represent the region it is located in.
