Al-Ittihad Football Club (commonly known as "Al-Ittihad", Arabic: الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم), was established in 1927 and is located in the coastal city of Jeddah on the Red Sea.
As a traditional powerhouse in Saudi football, the club experienced a significant turning point in 2023, bringing in international stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. The team had an impressive performance that season, not only eliminating Al-Nassr, who had Cristiano Ronaldo, with a 3-1 victory in the semifinals of the Saudi Super Cup, but also clinching the championship with a crucial 1-0 win against their rivals in the league. In the Arab Champions Cup, Benzema's debut helped the team secure a 2-1 victory, and they subsequently advanced from the group stage. Although they ultimately lost to Al-Hilal in the quarterfinals, Al-Ittihad continues to solidify its status as a top club in Saudi Arabia due to its long history and recent strong performances.
