Team Introduction

Coventry City Football Club (abbreviated as "Coventry", English name: Coventry City F.C.) was founded in 1883 and is a professional football club located in Coventry, West Midlands, England. The team has long competed in the top tier of English football and was one of the founding members of the Premier League, having won the FA Cup in the 1986/87 season.

Since being relegated from the Premier League in the 2000/01 season, Coventry fell into a decline, even dropping to the fourth tier of English football. However, the team has gradually improved in recent years, winning the EFL League One title in the 2019/20 season based on average points per game due to the pandemic, and returning to the EFL Championship. The 2022/23 season saw an impressive performance, reaching the Championship play-off final, but unfortunately lost to Luton in a penalty shootout, missing the chance to return to the Premier League. In the 2023/24 season, the team also had a remarkable performance in the FA Cup, eliminating Wolverhampton and reaching the semi-finals, ultimately losing to Manchester United in a penalty shootout.
