Cremonese Football Club (abbreviated as "Cremonese", in English: Cremonese) is a professional football club based in Cremona, Lombardy, Italy. The club was founded on March 24, 1903.
In 1913, the club joined the Italian Football Federation and established the "Cremona City Championship". After being promoted to the top league in 1914, the league was interrupted due to the war. In 1926, the club finished as runners-up in the league with 29 points, marking the best points total in the club's history in the top league. In the 1929-30 season, Italian football entered the unified Serie A era, and the team made its debut in Serie A but failed to establish itself, subsequently falling into a cycle of relegation and struggles in lower divisions for several decades.
In 1951, they faced serious financial problems that nearly caused them to lose their Serie C qualification. The team secured their place by winning a relegation battle against Edra in Trieste with a score of 2-0. They won the Coppa Italia in the 1992-93 season, finished 10th in Serie A in the 1993-94 season, and experienced significant fluctuations in the league after being relegated in the 1995-96 season. In the 2024-25 season, they broke through from Serie B through the promotion playoffs, returning to Serie A once again.
