Team Introduction

Como Football Club (abbreviated as "Como", English name: Como 1907) is a professional football club located in Como, Lombardy, Italy. It was founded in 1907 by local enthusiasts at the Bar Taroni, originally named "Como Football Club", and participated in regional competitions and friendly matches in its early years.

In the 1913-14 season, the club made its debut in the top league, and in the 1930-31 season, it achieved legendary status by being promoted to Serie B with an unbeaten record, scoring 90 goals and conceding 24 in 32 matches. The club first ascended to Serie A in 1949 and briefly led Serie A in the 1951-52 season.

In the 1960s, the team was relegated due to the 'Besi Incident', and in the 1980s, they had a five-year history in Serie A. In the 2000s, they fell into crisis, declaring bankruptcy twice in 2004 and 2016, and in 2017, they were restructured as 'Como 1907', starting from Serie D.

In 2019, the club was acquired by the Hartono brothers of the Indonesian Jaya Group (the richest club owners in Italy), significantly increasing their financial power. In the 2023-24 season, they finished as runners-up in Serie B, returning to Serie A after 21 years. Former star Cesc Fabregas is involved as a shareholder and coach, making them a 'new rich' team in Serie A.
