Team Introduction

Leyton Orient Football Club (abbreviated as "Leyton Orient", English name: Leyton Orient F.C.) was founded in 1881 and is a professional football club located in Leyton, East London, England.

The name comes from the sports promotion company of former chairman Barry Hearn, who took over the club, which was on the brink of bankruptcy, in 1995 for just £5. This event was also filmed as a documentary titled "Leyton Orient: The Five Pound Football Club."

The club has experienced multiple promotions and relegations throughout its history, winning the Southern League Division Three title in the 1955-56 season and finishing as runners-up in the Division Two in the 1961-62 season to gain promotion to the top tier. In recent years, the team has fluctuated between League One and League Two, and in the 2022-23 season, they were promoted back to League One as champions of League Two.
