Roda JC Kerkrade, abbreviated as "Roda JC", was founded in 1962 and is a professional football club located in Kerkrade, in the southern part of the Netherlands.
In its history, the club has won the KNVB Cup twice (in the 1996-1997 and 1999-2000 seasons) and was the runner-up in the Eredivisie in the 1974-1975 season. On the European stage, Roda JC reached the Round of 16 in the UEFA Cup during the 2000-2001 season, eliminating strong teams from the Russian and Danish leagues. In the 2009-2010 relegation play-offs, the team staged a remarkable comeback against Willem II, coming back from a 0-3 deficit to win 4-3, a match that became known as the "Limburg Miracle" in Dutch football history.
In the 2024-25 season, in the final round of matches, Roda JC lost directly to Groningen, which means they must participate in the playoffs to be promoted. In the first round of the playoffs, Roda JC lost to NAC Breda with an aggregate score of 1-8, remaining in the second division.
