Los Angeles Football Club (abbreviated as "LAFC", in English: Los Angeles Football Club) was established on October 30, 2014, and is a professional men's soccer club in the United States. It began competing in 2018 as an expansion team in Major League Soccer.
Since its establishment, Los Angeles Football Club has engaged in fierce competition with LA Galaxy, which is the older of the two Major League Soccer teams in Los Angeles. The rivalry between the two clubs is referred to by their supporters as the "City Derby."
Los Angeles FC fans are collectively known as "3252." The official capacity of the standing section at BMO Stadium is 3,252 people. When the numbers 3, 2, 5, and 2 are added together, they equal 12, which is also the origin of the term "12th man" and a tribute to the fans. The 3252 is made up of various supporter groups and is the club's independent supporters' union.
