Macarthur Football Club (abbreviated as "Macarthur", English name: Macarthur FC) was established on August 20, 2018, and is a professional football club located in the southwestern part of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The club was founded due to the Australian Football Association's plan to expand.
The team was officially named Macarthur Football Club in 2019, with Ante Milicic as the first head coach, followed by signing a series of ready-to-play players. However, in their first match, they suffered a 6-0 defeat to the Bulls against the Camden Tigers. On December 30, 2020, the team had its first league match against the Wanderers, winning the game 1-0. On October 1, 2022, the team won the Australian Championship for the first time, defeating Sydney FC 2-0 in the final. Two years later, they again defeated Melbourne Victory 1-0, winning the Australian Cup Championship and qualifying for the AFC Cup 2023-24.
