The club was originally named St. Mark's, became Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887, and was renamed Manchester City in 1894.
The club's home ground is the Etihad Stadium located in East Manchester, where they moved in 2003. Manchester City adopted sky blue as their home kit color in 1894 and has continued to use it ever since.
