Team Introduction

Mirassol Futebol Clube, commonly known as "Mirassol", was founded on November 9, 1925, and is a professional football club located in Mirassol, São Paulo, Brazil. The club was originally named Mirassol Sports Club and participated in amateur competitions until 1951. In 1964, Mirassol merged with another local club, and the new club was named Mirassol Athletic Club.

After the restructuring of the league system in 1994, Mirassol was assigned to the São Paulo State A3 League, and in 1997 they defeated several opponents to win the championship of that level. After being relegated in 2003, the club returned to the state B League the following year. In 2008, they finished eighth in the state top league, thus qualifying for the national competition, the Brazilian C League, marking the club's first appearance on the national stage.

In 2013, Mirassol was relegated from the top tier of the São Paulo state league. After competing in the A2 league for three seasons, they successfully returned in 2016. In 2020, they finished third in the São Paulo state championship, defeating São Paulo in the quarter-finals, while also winning the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D, marking the first national championship in the club's history.

In 2024, they defeated Chapecoense 1-0 in the final round of the B league, achieving promotion to the top tier of Brazilian football for the first time in history. In 2025, Mirassol was eliminated by the eventual champions Corinthians in the quarter-finals of the São Paulo state championship, but they showcased strong performance in the Série A, accumulating 52 points with 9 matches remaining, breaking the record set by Grêmio Barueri in 2009, becoming the best rookie in the history of Série A.
