Team Introduction

New York Red Bulls FC, formerly known as the New York/New Jersey MetroStars, was founded in 1994 and is a Major League Soccer team. In 2006, the team was acquired by the energy drink company Red Bull and renamed New York Red Bulls. In 2008, the team reached the MLS Cup final but was defeated by the Columbus Crew. The club won three Supporters' Shield titles in 2013, 2015, and 2018, and reached the U.S. Open Cup final twice in 2003 and 2017, losing both times. In 2018, they reached the CONCACAF Champions League semi-finals, where they were defeated by Club Guadalajara.

The New York Red Bulls have a history of competing at the highest levels of American soccer.
