Queens Park Rangers Football Club (abbreviated as "QPR", English name: Queens Park Rangers F.C.) was founded on January 1, 1882, and is a professional football club located in Shepherd's Bush, Hammersmith and Fulham, Greater London, England.
The team has experienced multiple promotions and relegations between the Premier League and the Championship, with the most recent promotion occurring in 2014 when they returned to the Premier League via the playoffs, but were relegated back to the Championship the following year, and have since been competing in the Championship.
QPR spent a long time in lower divisions in its early years until the 1966/67 season when it became the first Third Division team to win the English League Cup, and in the 1975/76 season, it finished as runners-up in the First Division, achieving the best result in the club's history. As one of the founding members of the Premier League in 1992, the team has often fluctuated between various levels of leagues, experiencing multiple relegations and promotions. In recent years, the club has gone through several ownership changes, first taken over by Italian businessman Flavio Briatore and then by Malaysian businessman Tony Fernandes.
