Al Sadd Sports Club, abbreviated as "Sadd" (Arabic: السد), was established on October 21, 1969, and is a professional football club based in Doha, Qatar.
In the summer transfer window of 2023, the club signed Porto midfielder Uribe and Moroccan captain Saïss, and loaned forward Husni from Paris Saint-Germain; in July 2024, Mohamed Kamara joined, and the following year, Roberto Firmino was signed.
Al Sadd is one of the most successful football clubs in Qatar, having won the top league championship 16 times, the Emir Cup 18 times, the Qatar Cup 8 times, the Sheikh Jassim Cup 15 times, and the Stars Cup once. They have also won the AFC Champions League twice (in 1989 and 2011) and the Arab Club Champions Cup once (in 2001).
