Team Introduction

Real Zaragoza, abbreviated as "Zaragoza" (Spanish: Real Zaragoza), was founded in 1955 and is a professional football club based in Zaragoza, the capital of the Aragon region in Spain.

The team has won the Copa del Rey multiple times in its history, and in 1964 it won the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, and in 1995 it won the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. The club was formed by the merger of two early local teams, and its red and yellow striped kit reflects its tradition. In the 1960s, the squad known as the "Magnificent Five" won the La Liga title, and in the 1990s, under coach Fernández, the team enjoyed another golden era. After entering the 21st century, several well-known South American players were introduced. In recent years, although the team has mostly competed in the second division, it continues to make squad adjustments, and in 2025, it renewed its contract with head coach Gabi until 2026.
