Central Coast Mariners Football Club (abbreviated as "Central Coast", in English: Central Coast Mariners) was established on November 1, 2004, and is a professional football club located in Gosford, Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia.
On November 1, 2004, the club was recognized as one of the eight founding teams of the A-League, becoming the first professional sports team from Gosford to participate in national competitions. The club signed former Northern Spirit coach Lawrie McKinna as manager, and former Rangers player Ian Ferguson as coach. In Lawrie McKinna's first season in charge, the team finished third in the regular season and reached the 2006 A-League Grand Final, ultimately losing 0-1 to Sydney FC, with a record attendance of 41,689 spectators at the time.

In 2021, Nick Montgomery took over as head coach and led the team to the Australian Cup final in his first season, where they lost 1-2 to Melbourne Victory. The team finished fifth in the A-League, making the playoffs for two consecutive years. On June 3, 2023, the team achieved a 6-1 victory over Melbourne City in the A-League grand final, winning their second A-League championship in history.
