AVS Futebol SAD, commonly known as "AVS," was founded on May 5, 2023, and is a football club based in Avís, Portugal. The club was formerly known as UD Vilafranquense SAD and relocated from Vila Franca de Xira to its current location due to inadequate facilities at the original stadium, and subsequently changed its name. AVS is not affiliated with the now-defunct Clube Desportivo das Aves or any of its successor teams, and its establishment has a similar background to the split between Belenenses and B-SAD.

In 2024, AVS defeated Portimonense in the promotion playoff and won the Portuguese Second Division playoff championship, achieving its first-ever promotion to the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
